We’re looking for an Embedded Android Engineer with a strong background in low-level system development to join our team. This role focuses on hardware integration, native libraries, and Qualcomm platform development - not UI/UX or application design. If you enjoy working close to the hardware and diving deep into system internals, this position is for you.

We are a young deep‑tech company that creates and produces internationally awarded smart glasses. Our headquarters are in Vienna, where we develop and manufacture both the hardware and the software of the smart glasses. From research & development, engineering, production to marketing and sales - we offer everything from a single source under one roof. Are you passionate about bringing Android to life on the hardware level? As an Embedded Android Engineer, you’ll develop deep integrations with Qualcomm SOCs, optimize performance from kernel to app, and power the intelligent devices of tomorrow.

Tasks

What You’ll Do

Develop and integrate native Android components (NDK/SDK).
Work with Qualcomm development platforms and SDKs on SOCs (AR1 preferred).
Implement system-level features with C and related build systems (Rust is a plus).
Build and maintain basic Android app functionality using Java/Kotlin for communication with native layers.
Access and control hardware at a low level—for example, connecting USB devices and using Qualcomm HTP.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience with Android NDK/SDK and native development.
Familiarity with Qualcomm toolchains, SDKs, and SOC architectures.
Solid understanding of C/C++ development practices.
Hands-on experience integrating hardware drivers and system libraries.
Optional: exposure to Rust or similar systems languages.
Focus: Low-level system integration and embedded development - not UI/UX.
