Our client is a European pioneer in the development, marketing and distribution of medicines for people with rare and complex diseases. To enhance the Legal Affairs team at the Vienna headquarters our client is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel (m/f/d).
Responsibilities
- Providing support on all legal matters to management and employees
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing various legal documents and agreements
- Collecting legal information and providing internal legal support on a day-to-day basis, including examination and analysis of complex legal matters
- Examining various material, such as advertisements for legal implications
- Advising management regarding various business transactions concerning internal affairs, directors, stockholders, officers, and corporate relationship with public
Professional and Personal Skills
- Law degree on Master level and possibly completed bar exam in an EU member state
- Minimum 5 years’ experience gained in-house in the Pharmaceutical Industry combined with IP experience and preferably commercial law. Alternatively, such experience could be gained as a legal counsel working for an international law firm specialising in life science and IP
- In-depth and commercial understanding of the pharmaceutical industry such as research, development, manufacturing and/or commercialization etc. of pharmaceutical products for human use in the EU
- Providing legal advice of complex legal tasks on all legal aspects of business at all levels
- Diplomatic and effective communicator as well as being able to break-down complex legal Issues and communicating those to non-lawyers in an clear way
- Capable of interacting and building strong business relationships with the business at all levels
- A strong team player with a solution-oriented working-style and pragmatic approach as well as a customer centric mindset
- Liaising and cooperating with external counsels in various countries
- Self-motivated and excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects
- Full proficiency in English, German is an advantage
Our offer
The gross yearly salary provided for this function is a minimum of EUR 84,000 (excluding bonus) based on a full-time employment. Any potential overpayment depends on professional experience and qualifications.
