Our client is a European pioneer in the development, marketing and distribution of medicines for people with rare and complex diseases. To enhance the team in Vienna headquarters our client is looking for two Business Unit Director positions Intensive Care and Neurology & Metabolic Disorders (m/f/d).
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the company long-term strategy for products within the Business Unit
- Develop a clear and broad strategic plan for the Business Unit and implement this in cooperation with the client´s countries
- Lead a small Business Unit team in Vienna and cross functional product teams without reporting line from strategic to operational executional level
- Create professional contacts with KOLs, Patient Support Groups and other healthcare organizations worldwide
- Work closely with various departments such as Market Access, Medical and with colleagues from regional teams
- Successfully lead cross-functional project teams
- Responsibility for lifecycle management of products, preparation and implementation of launch plans and sales maximization programs
- Develop and coordinate expansion plans to enter into new markets
- Fulfill budget responsibility, provide county guidance, and assess appropriate resource allocation to support the brands
- Drive agile commercial projects in the fast-developing company environment
- Ensure an effective Business Unit/brand communication processes above and within countries and provide regular updates on scientific knowledge, brands, market trends and forecasting
Professional Skills
- Scientific academic background combined with deep commercial experience
- Long-term experience in a senior position in pharma commercial structures or heading a Business Unit
- Ideally headquarters experience in a pharma company
- Technical expertise and contacts in the area of Intensive Care or Neurology & Metabolic Disorders
- High degree of business sense, strategic, and analytical thinking
- Track record of excellent cooperation between country/headquarters organizations or departments
- Demonstrated ability in working with and driving cross functional teams
- Excellent communication across all levels, both internal and external
- Strong leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Excellent communications and presentation skills in English, German is an advantage
We offer
The gross yearly salary provided for this function is a minimum of EUR 110,000 based on a full-time employment. Any potential overpayment depends on professional experience and qualifications.
