Import and distribution of chemical materials for customer industries throughout Europe is the competence of our privately owned group. The business activities of our multinational team - currently situated in fifteen locations across Europe and Asia – depend on reliable information, efficient processes and close cooperation between Sales, Product Management, Finance and our external IT partners.

We are looking for a colleague who can connect these worlds: who understands how our business works, can translate its needs into clear system requirements and can also turn business data into useful analysis.

Your tasks

Your Role

You will be the internal functional contact for our IT infrastructure, presently based on MS 365, covering Finance and Operations as well as Customer Engagement. You will coordinate and drive system improvements with our business teams and external software provider.

Alongside this responsibility, you will carry out recurring controlling and management reporting tasks and respond to ad hoc requests for analysis.

Tasks

Your Business and Area of Responsibility

Business applications and process development

  • D365 System Ownership & Development, act as the interface between business users and IT, translating business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa
  • Be the primary contact and key user
  • Gather business requirements from Finance, Product Management, Logistics and Sales
  • Define work packages for external service providers
  • Coordinate external partners and review, approve and sign off on implemented solutions
  • Continuously develop and optimise the system
  • Manage system administration, including user and access rights management
  • Support and train the users of the system

Management reporting and analysis

  • Prepare recurring analysis and management reports
  • Help automate or streamline reporting processes
  • Respond to ad hoc questions for management and business departments
  • Analyse business and cost data and present findings clearly
  • Prepare and analyse KPIs and derive actionable recommendations
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

Your profile

Requirements

Your Profile & Talents

You are looking for a challenging position in an international environment, where performance, self-responsibility, initiative, and loyalty are rewarded?

  • Min. 5 years of experience with ERP and/or CRM systems in a business environment; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is welcomed but not mandatory
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations
  • Good understanding of commercial processes, ideally in Finance, Trading, Sales or Product Management
  • Routine in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and variance analysis
  • Talent for system optimisation, digitalisation and the continuous improvement of business processes
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for external providers of IT and programs
  • Communication skills and a service-oriented mindset when supporting colleagues in finance and business users
  • Structured, proactive and solution-oriented working style, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A degree in business, information systems, finance or related fields is welcomed, but relevant practical experience is equally valued.
  • Business fluent in English and German

  • The minimum annual gross salary for this position is €38.640,00 in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (KV Handel). A market-competitive salary above the collectively agreed minimum will, of course be offered, depending on qualifications and experience plus an attractive bonus.
